Functional Kitchen

I came home to a functional kitchen! More excited about it than I thought I would be. Possibly more excited than I have been since Greyson left me. It will be a while before the backsplash, floor and trim are installed but now I can cook real meals. I'll have to find some other excuse for eating junk all the time....or I could stop eating so much junk and try to get my body (and mind and heart) ready for the future. Whatever that may hold.

  2. Yay, this project has been a long haul!
I have a sign in my kitchen that says 'I only have a kitchen because it came with the house.' I'm not a cook, by any stretch, but I'm sure I'll be just as excited when my bedroom re-flooring project is finally done!

  3. Glad the kitchen is useable now--and I love those pictures! They almost look like lights in a night club (or what I imagine they'd look like ;) )

  5. Hootie hoo! Glad you're getting your kitchen back. So exciting!

The purple burners picture is cool. It reminds me of a DJ turn table. ;) Are you doing a happy dance in the kitchen?

  6. Super congrats on the kitchen! I'm guessing these are some of your new burners? Cool play with colors.... Did you ever get World magazine from nationa Geographic when you were a kid? if yes, do you remember the last page that always had some weird photo and you had to figure out what it was? your photos today remind me of that.

  7. You know, they say the kitchen is the heart of the home. It seems somehow fitting to me that your kitchen has been in disarray, in breakdown stage and then put-back-together stage and now, functional! (But still with some work to do as you say). I say absolutely cook up some wholesome and lovely meals for yourself, family and friends! And, BTW have really enjoyed your photos as of late.

  8. Congrats on the kitchen!
Okay, lady, you have to start considering getting a coffee table book together of these pics! They are so awesome! You can go on-line and get photo books made, you know...you are so talented!
    Love,
