Oh My Love

I don't know if it was my big cathartic experience at my church yesterday or just time passing but I found the strength to do three things:

Last night I was finally able to look at pictures of my son, Greyson.

Oh my beautiful boy, my heart, my love.

Today I contacted the Funeral Man about getting a gravestone for him.

And...I contacted Dr. AA about trying again.

Life is really is going on.....

Picture of the Day:

This morning the kids came is so excited about Valentine's Day. Destynee rushed up to me so pleased to give me this box of candy.
"This is for you, Ms. B! Sorry but I ate some."

  1. Wow! Big day!
First, without looking at Greyson's pictures, I know he was beautiful. I'm proud of you for taking that big step and looking at those pictures. If you ever wish to share, I'd be happy to see him. If you wish to keep the pictures private, that's fine too.
Second,I think a gravestone is a nice idea. You love him so much, it's only right.
Third, please know that if you're trying again, I'll be here for you every step of the way.
As far as your PS, I don't think I ever want to experience a VD dance with 130 little kids. Yikes.

  7. This post totally made my day. Tears and then a laugh. Definitely on my "to do" list: dancing with little people on Valentine's Day. I danced with one...but look forward to doing with all her classmates when she starts school! Tee-hee!

  8. You're very brave... it took me a very long time to look at photos of Gabrielle for more than a split second and a year to hang the box-frame of the flowers we had preserved from her funeral. Having a place to visit where she's buried has been a little sanctuary for me over the past year, so you may find it really helps - but is a heart-renching thing to organise. Thinking of you and gorgeous to think of the Valentine's Day dance :)) xoxo
