Can You Smell That Smell?

3:30 AM. I just woke up because I dreamed a smell and it was so strong, it woke me up. I don't even remember what happened in the dream, just that this dark haired old woman turned her head to look at me and when she did, the smell of old, skanky pond water came at me. So weird.

Now I can't stop thinking about my baby BOY!!!

I'm going to have to learn about sports.
I'll have to potty train a tallywacker.
And have toy trucks and trains all over the house.
And tell him about the birds and bees. YIKES!

Oh my gosh...so much to look forward to.

  1. I'm glad that I can't smell that smell. The worst smell I've ever smelled was my skunked dog jumping into bed with me. You're going to do great, Paige, and when you have extra concerns, thankfully you have your dad and E to back you up.

  2. I was almost certain Sweet Pea was going to be a girl, but I couldn't be any happier that you're expecting a BABY BOY! How perfect is it; now someone will be able to "carry the family name" and your parents will have a sweet little grandson! I am SO excited for you Paige! Congratulations!

Oh, and what they say about shopping for boys being no fun- it's not really true. While there are no bows and frills, we have gotten a LOT of cute stuff!

  4. Dreaming about a smell, hum, I've never heard of that before...I wonder the meaning?

  5. a couple dream dictionaries I looked up said (if the smell is not actually coming into your unconscious from your environment) that water can represent our emotions and a stagnant water smell might mean an emotion is stale or backed up/not flowing. Is there any emotion in your life currently wants to be expressed or feels stuck? Sorry if you didn't want analysis - I have a psychology background. :) I love dreams and find them really interesting,

  6. You won't have to learn about sports if he wants to play them, I swear that some boys are born knowing. He'll teach YOU!
I don't even notice all the trucks anymore.
The smell dream...just preparation. Boys take great pleasure in making disgusting smells, lol.

  7. I can't help but laugh at the tallywacker term! Be prepared for a boy who is in LOVE with his tallywacker - seriously. They can't help it. A few months ago my 3 year old nephew walked up to me and said, "Aunt Shannon, do you want to see my dong?"

Yeah, my brother in law got in trouble for teaching him that term! LOL
